Rain didn’t deter the 1500 people who turned up to celebrate the inaugural Harvest Hawke’s Bay festival on the edge of the Tukituki River on Saturday 25th November 2023. Event organiser Liz Pollock said it was a credit to the punters who rocked up and had a fabulous time.

Get Mulled This Weekend
The word ‘mulled’ meant all sorts of things when I was a Hastings teen in the 90s but today it refers to whipping up something warm, spicy and deliciously boozy to slake your own thirst or to offer anyone who pops in because you’ve got a great fireplace, a fridge full of nice cheese and a massive TV.

New Festival a chance to celebrate Hawke’s Bay Food and Wine after a Challenging Year
With Harvest Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand’s newest food and wine festival, only months away, organisers are humbled by the enthusiasm for the event as the region recovers from Cyclone Gabrielle. Originally planned for this weekend, the tough decision was made a few weeks ago to reschedule the festival for Saturday November 25 due to the impact of the cyclone on the region.
